To use VM acceleration on macOS when the Hypervisor.Framework is not available, you must install the Intel HAXM kernel extension. However, you can feel free to experiment. On Mac OS X v10.10 Yosemite and higher, the Android Emulator uses the built-in Hypervisor.Framework by default, and falls back to using Intel HAXM if Hypervisor.Framework fails to initialize. To run Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10 on VirtualBox, you need at least corei3 or corei5 PC to have better performance.
